HEY GUYS! Soooo! As you can see, the title seems happy, sooo.. here's some happy news!
My Picture: fav.me/d301lsl was shown for a short amount of time in this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnTUwi… music video! It was very exciting when I found out about it, and I was super happy, and jumping around like a crazed person... I'm sure my parents were probably just like "Okaaaay...." xD but anyways! So, it is something suuuuper exciting. But what got to me was.. I didn't get any credit! ZIP. ZERO. NONE. NADA. ZILTCH. And my picture is in fact copyrighted... and it kinda bothered me, they're making I don't know how much money on this video, and they didn't think to give credit to the person who took a picture that happens to go so well with their music video? I've tried looking up the credits to the video to see if they did, but couldn't find anything. I messaged them, commented on the video, commented on their facebook page. I haven't gotten any responses so far! I'm still super flattered that they used my picture, but a little credit would be nice, it is after all MINE, COPYRIGHTED, and I posted right on the picture that credit needs to be given where it's due. Which would be me!
What do you all suggest I do? I'm still oh so very flattered that they liked it enough to put it in a music video, but what if they don't believe it's mine? What if they push me off as some crazed fan who wants to get credits and become 'famous' or what nonsense? You'd think they would have looked into where the picture came from. Which makes me wonder, have people posted it on other websites and claimed it as theirs? Has it been posted in wall paper apps? has it been used elsewhere without my permission? Because I doubt a hotshot company like SpinninRec would use a picture and not give credit..... would they?
So, suggestions on how to get their attention would be nice, again I'm FLATTERED they used it, just not too flattered that I didn't get credits for a picture I took....

Hey Guys! It's been a while... it's been a while..
Well, I'm back, which is weird, but nice at the same time, I missed my deviantArt community! I've been so focused on my facebook community that I've neglected dA :( I seem to have lost a few of you, but there are a lot of you that are still here! I can't believe it! It's been a long time! I'm starting to post more of my recent works, and I'm also going back and clearing out all my old photos that I'm not interested in anymore. Out with the old and in with the new I say! :) Don't get me wrong, those old photos shaped my current day photography, but holy cow some of them really... Well, they kind of suck. And I can say that because I took them.
Do do dooo, la de daaaa, yeah random xD
Heyyy guys! I've been uploading my 365 pics lately, and I know they're all a little late, hehe, I mostly post them on my photography page, which you will find... HERE---> https://www.facebook.com/DonnaMPhotography

Soooo, I wrote an essay on being a photographer:
1)Think of the ideal job for you when you grow up. Explain why this is your ideal job.
I believe that the ideal job is the one that
What is photography to you?
I recently saw a question in the photography forum, asking "Why do you take pictures?", and I answered with this...
"Being able to capture a moment in time with just the click of a button is such a crazy thing when you think about it... Yet it's amazing, being able to snap a photo and be able to preserve a memory for years to come... we can take pictures of nature, things, friends, family, anything! And even if the subject in the picture has changed, the picture will always remain the same, hold the same meaning, and memories. It isn't just this thought that makes photography so appealing, but also that you can express emotions, love, pain,

I am having mixed feelings, happiness that your work was considered cool enough to be in a music video, but annoyed that they haven't addressed this in any way.
I'm so sorry that they ignored the copyright, I know I wouldn't want people taking my work without at least letting me know or crediting me. Technically, they are breaking the law. But I'm not a fan of sue happy people, but... then again, you do have the right... hmm. Dilemma...
I have no idea why people think that just because they might be "famous" and it's featuring your pic so you must automatically be happy that they used it, even if they didn't ask permission or give credit... (not trying to be mean or ranty or even provoking you to be mad at famous people or anything, but I've seen it before...) Just because they think you will let them off with a happy giggle over how happy you might be over their featuring of your picture, doesn't mean they have the right to throw your rights out the window.
I'm glad someone could at least find it and alert you about it. Just knowing it was used is a good thing. Deciding what to do is harder though...
Have you asked your parents what to do? I love the advice my parents give me, even though I'm an adult, I still very much value their opinion.
I hope you will get a response soon.
(Sorry that my comment is so scattered everywhere...)
